(KMOV) -- Police are on the lookout for a man they say spied on and took pictures of an 11-year-old girl in Belleville on Monday

It happened in the Brookmeadow Subdivision, located at South Greenmount Road and Mascoutah Avenue, around 5 p.m.

The 11-year-old victim said she was playing basketball with her friends when she noticed a white man in his mid 50’s with balding grey hair sitting in a silver SUV. She said the man sat there for 30 minutes and snapped some pictures of the group.

"I think it's sick you worry when you have kids anyway but someone driving around the street taking pictures of them you don't know where the pictures will end up,” said neighbor, Shauna Dennis.

Police say a similar incident happened in the 200 block of Brookmeadow drive in October.  A woman said a man in a silver car watched her 8- and 10-year-old grandchildren play in the yard. She said the man also took pictures of the children.

If you can help identify the suspect contact the Belleville Police Department.

The investigation is underway.
