DES PERES, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say they believe a man who robbed the U.S. Bank inside a Des Peres Schnuck’s on Thursday is responsible for other robberies in the area.
According to police, the suspect walked into the grocery store on Manchester around 11:20 a.m. and got in line.
According to witnesses, he was very fidgety when he got up to the front of the line gave the teller a threatening note demanding large bills.
He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and ran from the building. Police said he was last seen fleeing the area on foot.
Police said the suspect is a black male, about 5-feet-7 with a medium build. He was wearing dark clothes and big sunglasses.
Authorities said they believe the suspect is responsible for robbing the same bank on Nov. 7. They said he also may be involved in several other St. Louis-area bank robberies.
