(KMOV) -- Surveillance pictures could help police catch the man they say is responsible for breaking into a local high school last night.

The man was seen breaking in Troy-Buchanan High School in Troy, Missouri during the overnight hours. The suspect is accused of smashing a glass door window and ransacking several classrooms.

Investigators learned the suspect gained access to a key box which was used to open several classrooms within the building.

The suspect has been described as a single white male, approximately 30-years-old wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and blue gloves. Cameras also showed the suspect has a sleeve tattoo on his left arm and is of stocky build.

Cameras caught the suspect stealing a safe, which he pushed from the main office to the basement and out to the loading dock where his vehicle was parked.

Surveillance video also showed people walking the track around the football field while the suspect pulled doors. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone walking the track at Troy Buchanan High School between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 PM Monday to please contact Detective Tom Jackson at 636-528-8546.

Also, anyone with information on the identity of the burglar is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
