(KMOV) – A man faces charges after he allegedly smashed a stolen ICEE truck through the security gate of a company while stealing 142 crates of flavored syrup.

George Summers, was charged with two counts of first-degree tampering.

According to police, Summers on Sept. 24 stole a Ford F-650 Super Crew truck owned by ICEE USA and drove through the gates of Enerco Electric Co. in the 10200 block of Rahning Rd.

Police said ICEE rents a parking space on the property and 142 cases of flavored syrup were inside the truck when he took it.

Authorities said the truck was found six days later but everything inside was missing.

Security cameras inside the truck helped police identify Summers.

He was arrested four days later after being found drunk and pumping gas into a stolen vehicle at a Kirkwood gas station. Police said that’s when they found a set of jumper cables taken from a vehicle parked an Enerco Electric on Sept. 4.

Summers is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $35,000 bond.
