Police: Man riding bike exposing self to women in O'Fallon

(KMOV) – Authorities are searching for a man they say was seen riding a bike while exposing himself in an O’Fallon, Mo. neighborhood Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers got an anonymous tip a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt was showing off his genitals while riding a bike near the intersection of Calumet Ranch and Knaust around 6 a.m.

Police said when officers arrived to the scene, a woman approached police and told them the suspect touched her inappropriately while she was jogging. Officers also talked to a driver who said they had seen the suspect both Monday and Tuesday morning.

Authorities said the area where the incident happened is located close to two schools in the Fort Zumwalt School District.

Fort Zumwalt School officials sent out the following statement to parents on Tuesday. 

The O’Fallon Police Department has the following notice on the police website:

We received a report this morning @ approximately 6am of a white male wearing a black hoodie on a bicycle in the area of Calumet Ranch and Knaust. The white male was reported to have exposed himself. The male has been seen in the area before which is in close proximity to two schools. Anyone with information on his identity is encouraged to contact this Department @636-240-3200

We wanted you aware of this report and alert to the situation.  Please contact the O’Fallon Police Department if you have information.  While this occurred before our children were out, please be alert and prepare students to report any suspicious activity seen to parents or school staff.
