(KMOV) – A robbery suspect shot and killed by a police officer at the Gravois Bluffs shopping center in Fenton on Wednesday has been identified as 23-year-old Claudell Webb Jr. of Ferguson. Another suspect in the case has been charged.

Police say Webb died at the hospital after being shot around 10:30 a.m. The other suspect, 23-year-old Jabari Quarles, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree armed robbery, six counts of armed criminal action and two counts of felonious restraint.

Authorities say the suspect both had weapons when they tied two employees up and robbed the Check N’ Go in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Rd.

Police arrived on scene and confronted Webb and Quarles as they were leaving the store. Authorities say police attempted to apprehend the men, but Webb tried to break loose and pulled out a gun. He refused to drop it and was shot by police.

Quarles was arrested at the scene.
