MAPLEWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) – A man and woman are accused of beating a Maplewood cell phone store employee in the head with a hammer, then stealing cell phones he was carrying.

Teresa Moss, 18, and Arvell Pruitt, 19, were both charged with assault and robbery.

According to police, the victim said he was closing up the Wireless Connect store on Manchester December 19 when the suspects attacked him.

Police said they then stole a bag he was carrying with four cell phones. They then fled the scene.

Authorities said an investigation led them to Moss and Pruitt, who were arrested and taken into custody.
