(KMOV) – An alleged 27-year-old madam was arrested for selling sex out of a local hotel.
A detective working undercover responded to an ad online last month and Linda Dupree arranged for transportation for two prostitutes to arrive. Dupree is also accused of negotiating the price for their services at the hotel on the northern edge of Maryland Heights.
When police arrived, three women, including Dupree were at the hotel. They were arrested moments later. Police say Dupree has a dangerous criminal history.
“These specific cases have the propensity to be very dangerous. For example, this one woman has been charged in the past for robbery. A lot of times these women are desperate because they're on drugs, and they can be very dangerous. So it's something we take very serious here,” Detective Sgt. Richard White of the Maryland Heights Police Department told News 4.
According to charging documents, Dupree has faced charges of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and accused of displaying a knife.
Dupree faces up to four years in prison for her involvement in this case.
