Suspects sought after crash, robbery in Tower Grove

(KMOV.com) -- Police are investigating a robbery that took place late Friday morning in south St. Louis following a crash.

According to police, a call came in just before noon of a robbery in the 600 block of Tower Grove.

Reports indicate that the male victim was driving in this area when he was rear ended by a black pick-up truck. When the victim was checking the damage to his vehicle, the truck pulled in front while a white Chevy Impala pulled up behind.

A masked man exited the Impala with a gun and struck the victim multiple times. The suspects took an unknown amount of money from the victim. The suspects were last seen heading south on Tower Grove.

The condition of the victim was not made available.

Police are currently searching for the black pick-up truck and white Chevy Impala.

Initial reports from police indicated that this incident was a carjacking.
