PEVELY, Mo. (KMOV) -- The city of Pevely has shut off water to an adult store to try to force the owner to close.
The Pure Pleasure Boutique opened a year ago off I-55. Earlier this week, the city denied the store’s request for a business license. The city said the shop needs to close or relocate because it isn’t in a part of town that is zoned for adult businesses.
The owner of the boutique says he has no intentions of closing.
Pevely’s city administrator said it is up to a federal judge to determine the fate of the store.
