ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -- News 4 has been reporting on pay raises going to Parkway School District administrators amid budget cuts.
Wednesday night, they district is again discussing cuts.
A year ago, the Parkway School Board voted to cut $8 million from the budget, and eliminated 130 full-time jobs.
Investigative reporter Craig Cheatham learned that a few months after those cuts, the district gave all of its administrators and department heads a 2.5-3 percent pay raise.
Those pay hikes included all 70 employees who make more than $100,000 a year.
Wednesday afternoon, News 4 sat down with the a distrcit administrator who shed some light on what’s at stake in the upcoming cuts.
Parkway staff, community members and parents are invited to attend one of a series of meetings to review a draft list of budget reductions on the following dates from 7-9 p.m.
Jan. 14 - North High
Jan. 24 - West High
Jan. 28 - South High
Jan. 31 – Central High
