ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A tractor trailer over turned on Lindbergh near I-70 in north St. Louis County on Monday.

Bridgeton police said a semi truck full of books was traveling on northbound Lindbergh when its load shifted and it tipped over.

The driver was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The northbound lanes of Lindbergh were shut down north of I-70 as crews worked to clear the scene. Both off ramps from I-70 to Lindbergh were also closed. All lanes reopened by about 3:15 p.m.

Emergency crews at the scene initially estimated the road would remain closed for up to five hours.
