(KMOV.com) -- The O’Fallon, Mo City Council on Thursday approved a plan to create one-way traffic on a large section of the city’s outer roads along Interstate 70.
The project is estimated to cost $22 million and will fix the stretch of road from T.R. Hughes to Bryan Rd. O’Fallon city officials told News 4 revamping Interstate 70 will allow traffic to funnel customers to local businesses.
Council woman Rose Mack says O’Fallon’s plan is to implement the use of Texas U-turns. The U-turns will allow drivers to avoid stopping on a bridge or overpass when they want to get from one side of I-70 to the other.
