Officer injured in collision in north St. Louis, suspect sought

(KMOV) – An officer was injured in a vehicle accident in a north St. Louis neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the marked police vehicle was struck by a suspect vehicle at Oriole and McLaran shortly before 4 p.m.

Police said two black male suspects fled on foot from their vehicle following the accident. One was taken into custody a short time later.  A second suspect remains at-large.

A 27-year-old St. Louis Police Officer was transported to an area hospital with leg injuries. His condition was not known.

The second officer, 28, in the cruiser suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Further details into the accident have not been released.
