ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Il (KMOV.com) -- St. Clair county offcially has a new sheriff as of Monday night.
Former Undersheriff Rick Watson was sworn in to replace Mearl Justus. Justus had served as sheriff in St. Clair since 1982.
The 81-year-old has been dealing with health issues and annouced his retirement last week.
