CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- The St. Louis suburb of Chesterfield may soon be the home of two new outlet malls.
Plans were recently announced for Chesterfield Outlets, a 500,000-square-foot development in the St. Louis County town.
Meanwhile, developers were expected to announce details Thursday for Spirit of St. Louis Outlet Mall. A news release says that mall could create more than 2,500 jobs.
The Chesterfield Planning Commission is expected to consider a zoning change next week for Chesterfield Outlets, which calls for an open-air center. So far, the city has not received permits or applications for the Spirit of St. Louis Outlet Mall.
