SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Abe’s turning 204, and you’re invited—to Springfield, Bloomington, Vandalia, and Lerna.

There will be music and food at historic sites across central Illinois Saturday through the 16th president’s Feb. 12 birthday.

Canned goods for needy Springfield residents will be accepted Friday through Tuesday at Lincoln-related Springfield sites and qualifies donors for reduced admission at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum.

Outside Springfield, events will be at the David Davis Mansion in Bloomington; the Lincoln Log Cabin site in Lerna, south of Charleston; several sites in Vandalia where Lincoln began his legislative career; and the Metamora Courthouse where Lincoln practiced as a private attorney.

The independent film “Saving Lincoln” will be screened at the Lincoln Presidential Library Monday.
