(KMOV) -- There are allegations of a 12-year-old girl being sexually assaulted on her school bus.
Jamie Foster, the mother of the victim, said she’s being kept in the dark by her daughter’s school Confluence Academy-Walnut Park in North St. Louis.
On the way to school Tuesday, her daughter was allegedly grabbed by a 14-year-old boy on the bus.
“Once he snatches her in the seat, he grabs her privates,” Foster said.
Foster says the driver did nothing, and even though her daughter immediately told school officials on campus, the girl was sent back home on the same bus with the boy.
“What could happen to my child next? And no one is listening, no one cares,” Foster said.
Foster said the district won’t answer her questions and won’t allow her to see the bus’ video tape.
The school district declined to go on camera. In a statement said they were investigating and taking the situation seriously.
After News 4’s Lauren Trager stepped in to help, the boy was removed from the school bus.
“She would have had to ride the bus home with him if I had not told them I was calling you guys,” Foster said. But Foster believes she and her daughter deserve more.
“Whose job is it to protect these kids on the bus?” she asked.
News 4 will continue to follow up on this developing investigation.
