Lawmakers aim to revive property tax program to help Missouri seniors

(KMOV.com) - Some Missouri lawmakers want to revive a program that funds property tax rebates for senior and disabled homeowners.

The program would help those hit by the rapidly rising property taxes. The program was enacted a decade ago, but has since expired.

State funds would be used to offset the property tax hikes above a certain percent for disabled and seniors with incomes lower than $70,000.
