WRIGHT CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper was injured when a car reportedly rammed his vehicle on eastbound I-70 near Wright City Saturday morning.
Trooper William Abel was inside a patrol car completing a traffic stop around 9 a.m. when a black four-door sedan ran into the back of his vehicle.
The driver of the sedan was taken into custody. It is not clear what charges the driver will face.
The trooper was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released. A passenger in the sedan was also treated for minor injuries.
Eastbound lanes of I-70 were shut down while police and emergency crews cleared the scene.
