(KMOV) -- The extreme cold Monday morning was affecting St. Louis’ public transportation system.
The MetroLink system was seeing serious delays and Metro officials were warning passengers to be careful.
“The critical thing today is the extreme cold,” said Metro spokesperson Patti Beck. “With the cold the way that it is, it’s just too cold to be standing out there.”
MetroBus was shuttling passengers between College Station and Shiloh-Scott Station.
While Metro was putting every resource on the street to provide transit service, the length of delays kept changing on both MetroLink and bus services.
“We’re having trouble with the cold weather, and it’s affecting our signal system” said Beck.
Beck said if people need to travel they need to plan accordingly.
Metro Call-A-Ride was in service but had major delays.
