A man whose vehicle was rear-ended by a Madison County Transit District bus last year has filed a negligence law suit against the transit district and the driver.
Alphonzo Gordon claims that he was injured on Jan. 9, 2009, after the 1998 green and white transit bus ran into the back of his vehicle. Both vehicles were in the eastbound lanes of University Drive in Edwardsville.
An Edwardsville police officer cited the bus driver, Terry L. Cook, 54, of 56 Morningside Drive in Glen Carbon, with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
