MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KMOV) – A man with a revoked license is in custody after he led police on a foot pursuit in Madison County early Thursday morning.

Damien Brown, 33, was charged with resisting a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, driving while license revoked, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and no registration plate lamp.

According to police, an officer attempted to pull over Brown on Storeyland Drive in Cottage Hills around 2:20 a.m.

Police said Brown stopped his pickup truck after the officer activated his emergency lights. He then got out of the of vehicle and fled on foot.

The officer gave chase and caught Brown in a nearby creek.

Brown was taken into custody and held on a $350 cash-only bond.
