(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Community College - Meramec has issued an apology for how it handled an attack on campus Friday.
Jevon Mallory faces charges, accused of attacking a girl in a campus restroom.
After much criticism, the administration is reviewing the school’s actions, and admits it should have done a better job notifying students.
Students and faculty weren’t notified by the school until several days after the assault.
“That was what we needed to do because we didn’t do everything right,” said Chancellor Myrtle Dorsey. “You know, I am humbly sorry that this occurred, and my intention is that we’re as safe as we can be."
Mallory is being held on $10,000 bond.
Others have come forward, saying Malloy had harrased them recently.
