2700 block of Old Hanley Road
NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A woman is in critical condition after being shot in the chest during a confrontation near Lambert Airport Wednesday evening.
Police said the incident happened inside a home in the 2700 block of Old Hanley Road just before 7 p.m.
Investigators said the suspect and female victim were engaged in some sort of argument. The female victim reportedly pulled out a pistol, but the suspect wrestled it away and shot her in the chest.
The 44-year-old victim was transported to DePaul Hospital in critical and unstable condition.
Police said the relationship between the two is not known, but they believe they knew each other.
The suspect, 38, has been taken into custody.
