SUNSET HILLS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police say a man who was hit by and ambulance on Interstate 44 Friday morning is a man wanted for robbing a bank in Fenton on Wednesday.
According to police, around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, a man ran onto I-44 near the intersection of Interstate 270. The man was struck by an ambulance and suffered serious injuries.
The victim was later identified as Joseph L. Haring, 27, of Fenton. Haring is wanted by police for allegedly robbing a Reliance Bank in Fenton on Wednesday.
On Friday, the driver of the ambulance that hit Haring said she tried to avoid hitting him, but he was clipped by the left side of the vehicle.
Haring remains in the hospital in serious, unstable condition.
