ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KMOV.com) – A St. Charles man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Monday for robbing an undercover officer at gun point.

Terrance Norman, who was charged with robbing an undercover St. Charles City Police Detective at gunpoint, was convicted by a St. Charles County jury on December 21.

The undercover detective was working with a confidential informant who arranged for an illegal gun sale transaction with Norman.

During the arranged gun sale, Norman pulled a semi-automatic handgun from his pocket and pointed the gun in the undercover officer's face.

Norman then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, which led to a high-speed chase.

He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
