(KMOV) – An Arnold man is accused of robbing a St. Louis County credit union, and he’s also facing drug charges.

St. Louis County authorities say 30-year-old Edward Starns of Arnold was charged Saturday with second-degree robbery and possession of controlled substance. He is jailed on $100,000 cash-only bond.

Authorities said Starns walked into the First Missouri Credit Union in the 1690 block of Lemay Ferry Rd. just after 10:15 a.m. Wednesday

He then took an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene in what’s believed to be a small to mid-size yellow Chevrolet. Police said the suspect never displayed or indicated he had a weapon.

He was arrested two days later in a motel room. Police say they also found what is believed to be heroin in the room.
