(KMOV.com) – A suspect faces charges after he allegedly killed a man during a drug transaction in south St. Louis in mid-June.

Jerrick Williams, 20, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

According to police, Williams shot 35-year-old Robert Coley multiple times while they were sitting in a vehicle in the 6100 block of Vermont on June 10. Coley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Williams and another suspect in the vehicle at the time fled the scene on foot. Williams was later arrested while the other suspect remains at large.

 

Williams remains in custody without bond.
