Man charged with killing woman found dead in south St. Louis bathtub

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) -- Charges have been filed against a man accused of killing a 24-year-old woman who was found dead inside the bathtub of a home in south St. Louis Wednesday evening.

Raheem Thorpe, 42, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder. He is being held in custody without bond.

According to police, Lauren Bach was found unresponsive in the 6100 block of Alaska in the Carondelet neighborhood around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said she and Thorpe had earlier been engaged in an argument over narcotics when he allegedly attacked her.

Bach sustained trauma to the head, neck and back.  She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

Thorpe was treated at a local hospital for lacerations to the face before being taken into custody.
