(KMOV) – A man is accused of breaking a female police officer’s nose after punching her in the face during an arrest attempt in Kirkwood on Saturday.

Blake Shook, 18, was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

According to police, officers were called to the 7-Eleven in the 6300 block of W. Woodbine for a disturbance.

Police said Shook, who had previously been told not to return to the store, came back and threatened the clerk.

According to police, a female officer was attempting to handcuff Shook when he punched her in the face.

Hospital records later showed she broke her nasal bone and suffered a concussion.

Shook remains in custody at the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $15,000 bond.
