ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A Richmond Heights man is accused of using a GPS device to stalk his estranged wife.
Police said William R. Woods, 36, was charged with aggravated stalking after he allegedly planted a GPS tracking device on his wife’s vehicle to track her movements.
According to police, Woods admitted to placing the device in his wife’s vehicle in April or May, and said he used it to monitor her movements and find out where she lives.
The victim told police that she was in a city parking garage on May 23 when she found a tracking device on her vehicle.
Three days prior, a St. Louis Circuit Court Judge had granted a full order of protection agains Woods.
Woods was taken into custody and released on a $25,000 bond.
