St. Louis, Mo. (KMOV) – Charges have been filed against a suspect accused in at least one of two armed robberies that occurred near Ballpark Village.
Craig Pomerlee, 32, was charged with five counts of first-degree robbery and five counts of armed criminal action.
Police say five men were walking in the first block of Broadway around 1:30 a.m. Monday when Pomerlee and two others got out of a red Chevy Blazer and demanded the victims’ money.
Authorities say Pomerlee, who was armed with a gun, and the other suspects then walked up to the victims and took their belongings before fleeing the scene.
An investigation led them to Pomerlee, who is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond. The other two suspects remain at large.
The robbery was one of three that happened minutes apart in downtown St. Louis early Monday.
Police say a man and his girlfriend were also robbed by suspects in a Chevy Blazer in the 2000 block of Delmar. Earlier in the night, multiple victims were robbed outside of Ballpark Village.
Authorities have not said if Pomerlee is a suspect in those incidents.
