ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A man wearing nothing but his birthday suit at Busch Stadium Thursday night faces at least two charges.

Police said Collin Grunderstrom, 22, will be charged with lewd and indecent conduct and going on a playing field, both violations of St. Louis city ordinances.

But one official says the number of children who saw him at Busch Stadium raised a red flag. A more serious state charge could have required Grunderstrom to register as a sex offender, but that won’t happen because he had no weapon and did not try to hurt anyone.

As the Cards were getting ready to battle the Phillies in the seventh inning, Grunderstrom took off across the outfield.  Stadium staff and police officers were able to chase the man down within a couple minutes.

Grundstrom later told police he did it because he lost a bet.

He was jailed overnight.

The head of security at the stadium, Joe Walsh, says Grundstrom “appeared to have been drinkin.”

Police said Grundstrum could do jail time but will likely get several hundred dollars in fines instead.

Associated Press contributed to this report.
