Man caught on tape pocketing brass from Waterloo Lumber Co.

(KMOV) – Police in Waterloo are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of supplies from a local lumber company.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video pocketing brass valves at the Waterloo Lumber Company located at 715 N. Market Street on Monday.

The suspect wore an extra coat and stuffed as much as he could into his coat and pants pockets and even in his boots before leaving the store.

Police say he reportedly got away with more than 40 brass check and brass gate valves valued at more than $1,500.

Police say this is the second time in two months the Waterloo Lumber Company has been burglarized.
