FENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police have charged a 27-year-old man who allegedly broke a woman’s arm and barricaded himself inside a Fenton hotel room early Tuesday morning.

Thomas L. Bryan, was charged with second-degree assault.

The incident started at the Rodeway Inn Hotel in the 1800 block of Bowles Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday.

Police said the female victim contacted an officer who was performing a business check at the hotel. She told the officer Bryan had assaulted her and broken her arm.

She also told the officer Bryan had a knife.

Police said officers went to talk to Bryan, who ran back into his hotel room and locked himself inside.

A tactical team responded and eventually talked him out of the room. He was taken into custody.

No officers were injured.

Bryan remains in jail on a $25,000 bond.
