PARK HILLS (KMOV.com) – A Park Hills man is accused of robbing a convenience store.

According to the Farmington Daily Journal, 20-year-old Matthew Drake Carver was charged with first degree robbery in connection with the robbery of a Casey’s General Store on Front Street, Monday.

Court records indicate police were called around 2 p.m. after a man saw someone running up the street near Casey’s. The man said he saw a person dropping a gun and money, and later ran into a nearby apartment building. When police arrived, the man handed the responding police officer a grocery bag full of money and the gun.

Witnesses say the man in question was wearing a white Mineral College hoodie, a Spider Man, mask and gloves. They say he waved a gun at the Casey’s General Store Clerk and demanded money.

The Daily Journal is reporting police later went to the apartment where Carter was and had to force their way in.

Surveillance footage from  he store shows the robber pulling a handgun, pointing it at the clerk and demanding money.  After the clerk opened the register, the robber then pulled some cash from the drawer and left.

The Daily Journal is reporting police later went to the apartment where Carter was and forced their way in.  They found Carter with a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman. Inside the apartment police also found a pair of brown gloves and a Mineral College hoodie. A spider man mask was also found near the Casey’s.

Carver is being held on $150,000 bond. The two people who were found with Carver have not been charged. According to police they claim they had nothing to do with robbery.
