Police search for local man accused of tying up sexual assault victims

 (KMOV) – Police are searching for a man who authorities say tied up two people and sexually assaulted one of them in Madison County.

Authorities charged Jerry D. Sutt, 50, with two counts of unlawful restraint, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault.

He is accused of assaulting one victim Wednesday night at a home in Collinsville, Ill. The victim and another person were bound by Sutt as he stood armed with a handgun.

Police say after he bonds the victims; he sexually assaulted one of the female victims. She was transported to an area hospital where she was treated.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Granite City Police Department, and the United State’s Marshals Office are actively searching for Sutt.

Sutt has a considerable criminal history and is considered armed and dangerous.

Bond was set at $500,000 for Jerry Sutt.
