Poll:
Is "structured recess" a good idea?

(KMOV) – Major changes are coming to a tradition school activity.

Recess in the Fort Zumwalt School District is now called “structured recess” and will require students to remain active for the entire 20 minute period.

Students can run, walk, play games, or anything else active. The only restriction… they can’t sit down, according to parents who have raised concerns.

The superintendent says it will help fight childhood obesity.

All 15 elementary schools in the district will participate.

What do you think about this?  Is structured recess a good idea?  Take our poll on the right-hand side.
