EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.—A former secretary for the sheriff of southwestern Illinois’ Madison County is accusing her ex-boss of harassing her and trying to have a possible romantic relationship with her.

The Belleville News-Democrat reports that no criminal charges have been filed relating to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint 37-year-old Jaimie Linton has filed with the county against Sheriff Bob Hertz.

According to the complaint obtained by the newspaper through a Freedom of Information Act request, Linton alleges that Hertz repeatedly threatened her job, questioned her character, followed her during lunch hour and threatened to have a private investigator pursue her.

Linton now works for the county’s probation and court services.

A message left with Hertz by The Associated Press wasn’t immediately returned.
