(KMOV.com)  Expect to see a Missouri State Trooper about every 20 miles on interstates starting at noon today.

The Labor Day weekend boost in troopers will be stationed along Interstates 44 and 70, as well as Highway 40. The boost in troops will only last until midnight tonight, before picking back up at noon on Monday.

Missouri State Patrol trooper Al Nothum tells News 4, they “are looking for the drunk driver, the driver who is speeding, the aggressive driver.”

Trooper Nothum also says that the highway patrol is not out to “get drivers.” The goal of the program is to help all drivers get to where they are heading safely for the holiday weekend.
