(KMOV.com) – Missouri Highway Patrol shut down two roads due to dangerous driving conditions.
According to officials, a multi-vehicle accident at Highway 21 near Schenk Road in Jefferson County was the result of icing and forced the roadway to be closed. There are no reported injuries.
At Highway 61 and Wilson Road, about 10 miles north Troy, authorities reported several vehicles off the road, and some overturned after an icy roadway caused a similar accident. There was at least one injury, though it is unknown how serious.
MHP says both areas were shut down until the roadways were treated and ice-free.
