(KMOV.com) – During a rally in Ferguson on Sunday, the state appointed head of security, Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, apologized to the family of Michael Brown.
“Let me start off by talking to Mike Brown’s family. I want you to know my heart goes out to you, my heart goes out to you, I wear this uniform and I should stand up here and say that I am sorry.”
“When this is over I am going to go in my son’s room, my black son. Who wears his pants sagging wears his hat cocked to the side, got tattoos on his arm. But that’s my baby. We need to pray, we need to thank Mike for his life we need to thank him for the change that he is going to make and make us proad of him.”
“I love you, I stand tall with you and I will see you out there.”
