Local group looks to break Guinness World Record for longest kickball game

(KMOV.com) -- A local group is attempting to break the Guinness Book of World Records longest game of kickball.

The current record is set at 54 hours. This group plans to play kickball for 69 hours.

The group is at Jefferson Barracks Park and News 4’s Steve Harris went to check-in on the game.

Guinness officials will be on site along with police and sponsors. The group must have two teams of 24 players and compete for 69 straight hours.

The game is hosted by STL Big Balls kickball league who hosts weekly games at Tower Grove Park and Jefferson Barracks Park.

The group will donate all proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
