ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- With temperatures in the triple digits and extreme dry conditions, the National Weather Service has issued a fire danger warning for the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The warning means fires will start quickly and spread furiously.
Due to the warning, several cities in the area are putting a burn ban into effect. Under a burn ban, residents are asked to refrain from outdoor burning, including bonfire and home fireworks.
