Missouri investigators stunned after newborn baby found covered in concrete

(KMOV.com) – Police say they found a newborn baby dead while investigating drugs and a stolen vehicle at a home in Pleasant Hill, Mo. Tuesday night.

Authorities say the infant’s body was found encased in a tub of concrete in a residential garage. The local medical examiner is trying to figure out just how the child died. Police did not provide the baby’s gender.

The baby’s mother and father were arrested and police are waiting for autopsy results to decide what charges will be field.

According to the Associated Press, the child’s mother is in the hospital. The suspects’ identities have not been released.

 

The couple has four other kids who were placed in the custody of the state.
