(KMOV) – After the success of an exhibition soccer match at Busch Stadium in May, another is coming to St. Louis—this time to the Edward Jones Dome.
Real Madrid will play F.C. Internazionale – AKA Inter Milan - at the dome on August 10 at 1 p.m.
Tickets for the game went on sale at 9 a.m. Monday for the general public.
Tickets can be bought at all Ticketmaster locations or Ticketmaster.com. Prices range from $40 to $225.
Natural grass will replace the field turf at the Edward Jones Dome, which will hold 19,000 more people than the 48,000 who flocked to Busch Stadium to see Manchester City take on Chelsea in May.
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, that game brought $1.5 to $2 million to the area.
Real Madrid has won a record 32 Spanish La Liga titles, 19 Copa del Rey titles and nine European championships. The team features some of the game’s bigger stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Mesut Ozil.
Meanwhile, Italian superpower Inter has won a total of 18 Serie A titles, seven Coppa Italia titles and three European Championships. The club is currently coached by Walter Mazzarri and features top players Esteban Cambiasso, Fredy Guarin and Samir Handanovic.
There will not be a conflict with the St. Louis Rams as they hold their first exhibition game on August 17.
It will be the first-ever men’s soccer match at the dome, though the U.S. women’s national team played there in 2007.
