The accident happened just around 7 a.m. on Highway 79 near the Eagle's Bluff Golf Course in Clarksville.  Clarksville is about 70 miles northwest of St. Louis.

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte said the vehicle was unoccupied when it was struck by the train.  When police arrived, they discovered the vehicle belonged to James Adams, 77.  Adams was reported missing a few hours before the accident.
