ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a child at a north St. Louis residence.
Police were called to the scene at 2339 University for a report of an unresponsive child around 3:30 a.m. The 1 month-old boy was sleeping with his mother and another child when the mother noticed the infant wasn't breathing.
The baby was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Child Abuse is investigating the cause of death at this time. Hospital officials indicate there were no signs of trauma to the child.
Further details into this investigation were not immediately known.
