ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Traffic along northbound Interstate 270 was backed up Wednesday morning after an incident involving a tractor-trailer in south St. Louis County.

The tractor-trailer was seen blocking one northbound lane of I-270, just past the entrance ramp from Tesson Ferry Road. Multiple police cars had surrounded the truck.

Officers appeared to give the truck driver a field sobriety test. Moments later, he was handcuffed and put in the back of a police car.

Traffic along northbound Interstate 270 was backed up for several miles. Eventually, a tow truck was able to remove the tractor-trailer from the interstate.

All lanes have since reopened.
